The swim team hosts several swim meets and an awards banquet each summer. Swimmers in the “6 and under” age group may swim with an older team member. This is a great way for your child to gain confidence as a swimmer and to learn water safety. If you would like more information on the swim team or would like to volunteer to help with the meets, please contact Karen Monroe or any board member.
Practice for the 2015 season will remain the same as 2014:
Monday through Friday mornings:
9:00am – 10:00 – intermediate swimmers (approximately age 7-9)
10:00am – 11:00 – advanced swimmers (10 and over)
11:00am – 11:30 – beginners (approximately 6 and under)
If the temperature is below 60 degrees at 8:00 AM we will not have practice that day. We will use text alerts if practice is cancelled for the day.

SKY Swim Clinic information
SKY (Southern Kentucky Swim Club) offers a spring swim clinic for summer swimmers. It begins right after Spring Break each year. SKY practices are at Bowling Green High School indoor pool. More information is available on the skyswimming.com web page.
Mitch would like to encourage all of our swimmers to take these classes. Contact Mitch Clark to learn more.
The coach spend one week covering each stroke, Free, back, breast and fly. Then, spend one week on starts, one week on turns, and the final week on conditioning.
All potential members of the team can participate in the stroke clinic.
SKY also starts little dippers mid April. Little Dippers is a 6 week program for beginner to novice swimmers ages 2 to 12. The program is based on teaching the fundamentals of floating, water safety, and competitive swimming strokes.
